Hi! I’m Berniedette and welcome to Petite And Toned!
Hi! I’m Berniedette and welcome to Petite And Toned!

In case we haven’t met, I’m Berniedette and I’m addicted to fitness!

I’m a CPA (not tax) and in all honesty, I probably made the wrong career choice.

I describe myself as more creative than smart. However, smart pays the bills. I come from immigrant roots, and am slightly risk-averse. Until I finally make that jump into pursuing my passions outside of work full-time, I will be here sharing my discoveries as a young professional woman.

Fitness is just one of the ways I work through this personal struggle of mine. But I find balance in life beyond fitness!

I am excited to use this platform as a way to share things that I love as well as to pass along wisdom to a 23-year-old version of myself. Entering my 30’s would have been so much easier had I learned about certain things earlier on in life, whether it’s preparing financially for the future or learning to love my body.

As much as I love fitness and fashion, I decided to take the lifestyle route because it allows me to bring in all facets of my life… be it organizing, planning, redecorating, or what not.

And that is how I came to be PetiteAndToned!  “Toned” is obviously for my love of fitness. “Petite” encompasses what life is really like from down here.  (Let me tell you, it’s absolutely fabulous!)

Born in the Philippines and raised just south of San Francisco, I still call the Bay Area home. As a (half or) first generation Filipina-American, growing up was interesting in that I had to balance two cultures which shaped me into the woman I am today.

I love all things girly and am obsessed with good interior and fashion design. I like to mix my modern glam taste with a nod to tradition. I believe in affordable luxury and strive for that perfect balance between form and function. I hope you find inspiration in fitness, fashion, and “for the home”.  I aim to share with you nuggets of my life that are helpful and relatable. Thank you for following me along. I’m still new to this, so I hope you’ll stick around for a while!

xoxo,

B
