Petite Version of This Post
A few times a week, I actually have breakfast for dinner! This basically means eggs, some avo, and protein.
My fave? Ground turkey with homemade taco seasoning mix!

Breakfast for dinner is one of my go-to’s because it is fast, filling, and easy to whip up after a long day. I typically have eggs, avocado, perhaps some salsa, and a side of protein. Sometimes, I eat this with a can of tuna and slivered almonds. Other times, I get a treat with ground turkey flavored in taco seasoning, which is homemade and less salty than store bought.
I got this spice mix recipe from my friend Lani, who was perhaps one of my first mentors when it came down to nutrition and eating right.
- 1 lb ground turkey/ground meat
- ¼ teaspoon dried cumin
- ¼ teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon dry yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon chipotle pepper spice
- ½ teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon garlic powder (1 clove minced)
- Prepare spice mix above
- Mix with 1 lb of meat, cook, and serve
Tip: I sometimes create a few batches of this spice mix for future use! I’ll store them in little spice jars for future use. Saves me a few minutes in terms of prep and in terms of time it would take to wash my measuring spoons and mixing bowl!)
Bon appetit!
xoxo,
